The Thoughts of Young Black Men
I'm Really Excited
This is going to be a very brief post, but I just wanted to let you all know that I've got a surprise. Technically, it's been in the works since Christmas break, but all of the elements are finally beginning to fall into place. It feels really good to know that all these weeks of preparation are coming to fruition (not without help, of course). With that being said, be on the lookout for next week's post, where the surprise will be unveiled...
The Importance of an HBCU Education
High school kids across the country are often torn between attending a PWI (Predominantly White Institution) or an HBCU (Historically Black College or University). Obviously, I am biased towards HBCUs because I attend one of the most illustrious ones, Hampton University. At HBCUs everyone pushes everyone else to be the best at what they do in order to compete in mainstream society. However, most of my friends attend PWIs, so I do not have any ill feelings towards them.

April Fools' Day is supposed to be a day where people play practical jokes on one another. I don't see the need in dedicating a day to pulling pranks when people do it every day. This year was no exception; I didn't trick anyone and nobody tricked me. Since I've never had an eventful April 1st I asked a couple of my friends about their own experiences.
